Axel Boman is a celebrated Swedish DJ, music producer, and label owner of Studio Barnhus, beloved house and left-field pop label out of Stockholm. Known for a musical style that’s been described as “raw, playful, and drenched in oceans of soul” he has released original works on lauded record labels such as Pampa, Mule Musiq, Permanent Vacation, DFA, R&S Records (with John Talabot as Talaboman), Cocoon, and of course Studio Barnhus. He has also been invited to DJ for global music platforms like BB1 Radio One, Coachella, Sonar Barcelona, MUTEK Montreal, Nowadays New York, and Panorama Bar Berlin. In Sweden, he has been nominated for several P3 Radio Music Awards over the years, recognized as Composer of the Year for Sweden’s Society of Composers & Songwriters and nominated for several Swedish Grammi Awards. Acknowledged for his unique style and influence over Nordic cool, he has helmed recent brand ambassador and sound design campaigns for Reebok, Fila, and Junior Executive. Axel Boman is born, raised and based in Stockholm, Sweden. His last two albums 2 albums dropped on Studio Barnhus April 2022 to glowing reviews in Pitchfork. In 2026, he will release an EP on AUS Music and two collaborative LPs on Studio Barnhus.
